Picnic Tables Are Here!

MICA was very pleased to have recently installed fourteen (14) picnic tables at popular spots on our islands with the help of many people:

It was a truly cooperative MICA project.  Directors recognize and thank the following MICA supporters for their huge help last Thursday evening:

  • Shamus Stapleton, Logan Tanner, Meikan Gardner, Rowan Henkelmann and Alec Ernst.

In addition, we sincerely thank our Corporate Supporters noted below for their hugely significant contribution to this project:

  • Freemans Lumber for providing the wood.
  • Bridgwater Metal Industries (BMI)Wood for manufacturing, staining and delivering the tables to the Mahone Bay Town Wharf.
  • Titan Marine and boat operator Zack for delivery of the tables.
  • Mahone Bay Town Wharf for allowing MICA to marshal the tables and load the tables there.

At the same time, signs were posted in appropriate areas asking owners of private moorings to contact MICA.

There are several more tables to be installed, which will happen in the near future.
