With the fundraising for the purchase of Sacrifice Island well underway, MICA's 6th annual Gala Dinner & Auction focused on raising money to support this acquisition. We topped last year's record ($26,000) with a new record of over $35,000!
Thank you to everyone - our Sponsors, Donors, Gala Guests, Volunteers, musicians Dr. Laurie McNeill and Rich Knowles and theOrganizing Committee - who helped make this year's event a resounding success.
The evening reflected the culture and lifestyle of this exceptional coastal region by auctioning island experiences - the art, music, photography, stories, cooking and outdoor life.
Some of the visual artists who contributed to this year's auction included Frans Aeyelts, Holly Carr, Robin Crickmer, Anya Holloway, Sheila Lewis, Barbara McLean, Ed Porter, Meg Race, Carol Ann Shelton, Anne Tweed, Carole Whitcombe, and Ruth Wilton.
