Nature Conservancy of Canada surveys
three newly acquired islands in Mahone Bay
On August 30, 2017 Syd Dumaresq from the MICA Board of Directors provided transportation to Quaker, Lynch and Snake Islands so that NCC staff members could perform base line natural resources surveys. All three islands were found to be very different from each other and in excellent condition with little garbage found (and mostly removed).
MICA was involved in a major way in funding the recent acquisition of these three wonderful islands by NCC. We invite you to visit, explore and help protect these islands!
